If you’ve been feeling "stuck" in a cycle of difficult memories or find that traditional talk therapy is taking longer than you hoped, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) might be the breakthrough you’re looking for.
How It Works
Unlike traditional therapies that may require months of talking through a specific trauma, ART works by using voluntary eye movements and a technique called Voluntary Image Replacement.
The goal isn't to forget what happened, you will always remember the facts of the event, but rather to change the way those memories are stored in the brain. We work to "keep the knowledge, but lose the pain."
Why Choose ART?
Rapid Results: Many clients experience significant relief in just 1 to 5 sessions (this varies).
Less Talking, More Healing: You don’t have to narrate every painful detail of your experience out loud if you don’t want to.
Versatility: While it is famous for treating PTSD and trauma, ART can also be highly effective for anxiety, depression, phobias, and grief.
What to Expect
During a session, I will guide your eyes through specific movements while you visualize certain scenes. It is a collaborative, creative process that empowers you to take control of your own healing. Most clients leave a session feeling a sense of lightness and "completion" regarding the issue we addressed.
The Bottom Line: You don’t have to live with the physical and emotional weight of your past forever. ART offers a path to move forward, quickly and effectively.
